Essential Oils and how to use them

Due to their healing, aromatic, and therapeutic benefits, essential oils have been used by cultures all over the world for centuries. Each oil holds within it the power of the plant its derived from, giving unique properties and abilities to be used in many different facets of life. For mind and body, choosing the right oil bearing the desired properties works to protect from the inside out.

Essential oils are used in two main ways – through diffusion and through topical application. The diffusion process places your desired oils into a diffuser,
which expels the oil into the air to create a peaceful and fragrant atmosphere. Oils with antibacterial and antiseptic properties may be diffused to purify the air from germs, allergens, and mould spores, providing a cleansed and uplifted indoor atmosphere.

Diffused essential oils aren’t simply for cleansing the air, and the aromatherapeutic benefits of your chosen oils are perfectly experienced through your essential oil diffuser. Oils for relaxation, oils with anti-inflammatory properties, oils for hormonal balance, oils for energy, or any favorite oil you simply love may be diffused to invoke the power of aromatherapy in any room of the home.

The second method of application and use is topical, using the power of plants to heal the skin, boost beauty, detoxify, or aid in pain and inflammation relief. When diluted with a carrier oil, essential oils relay their benefits to users while being absorbed through the skin just as they relay their benefits when breathed in the air through a diffuser. Essential oils with antibacterial, antiseptic, and antiviral properties may also be used in effective natural
cleaning around the home.

Due to the potency of natural essential oils, carrier oils like Virgin Coconut Oil, Jojoba Oil, Olive Oil, and Almond Oil are used to ensure safe topical use. Aromatherapy guidelines advise adding around 1 to 2% essential oil into the carrier oil of your choosing. Using beneficial natural carrier oils such as these incorporate additional natural benefits alongside those found within the essential oils themselves.

Coming from unique plant sources, each oil holds its own unique benefits, which may be used alone or in a blend. These benefits include antibacterial, antiseptic, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, pain relief, relaxation, and beauty enhancing properties. There is an oil out there holding within it benefits to uplift any aspect of life.
